徒然 - 音楽（アイルランド）

速弾きやマシンガン・ピッキングではなく、チョーキングの粘りとヴィブラートの揺れに歌心が感じられるアルバム！

ブルースは詳しくないので、「アルバート・キング、アルバート･コリンズ、ジョージ・ハリスン等豪華なゲストも登場」と言われても正直ピンとこなくて(^_^;)、むしろ、クラシックやインギー育ちとしては、イングヴェイとの共通点がチラチラ感じられたりして(^_^;)。あ、もちろんブルースを弾くときのインギーです。

こちらでも書かれている通り、ジャケットの少年が大人になっても「Still got the blues」。そんなストーリーが表と裏のジャケットに織り込まれているのですが、表ではジミヘンのポスターに目が行きます。



ゲイリー・ムーアとイングヴェイ・マルムスティーン。全くタイプの違うギタリストのようで、実はどちらもリッチー・ブラックモア、ジミ・ヘンドリックスから影響を受けているんですねー。詳しくは分かりませんが、そこら辺がプレイにも感じられるのでしょうか。

ハード・ロック側の人間にも十分楽しめるブルース・アルバムだと思います。


でもやはり、これはイングヴェイにはない、ゲイリー独特の泣きがあります。

タイトルに釣られてきた人も、
ここ数日の投稿の流れからすでに先が読めている人も、ようこそいらっしゃいました。

今日の名曲１選です。



３つ前の投稿で書いた「Still in Love with You」とタイトルが似ていますが、こちらは「Falliing」。

歌詞を読んでみると、どちらも片想いの曲みたいですが、
「Still ～」の方は終わってしまった恋に「それでも、、、」と切なく歌っているのに対し、
「Falling ～」は夢のある明るい感じになっています。

フィル・ライノット、ゲイリー・ムーア、ジョン・サイクスの書く、この手の LOVE 系バラードって、どれも通じ合うものがあると思います。

日本語に訳すと恥ずかしくて歌えませんね。

今日もGary Day でした。

名曲が余りに多くて、とても２日や３日で聴ききれるものではありませんが、絶対に外せないのがこの曲！





ふと思ったんですが、このかっこよさは、Out つながりで、HELLOWEEN の「I Want Out」に通じるものがあるかも。

画像処理がダサかっこいいＰＶは、２分１０秒くらいに出てくる犬が好きです（笑）

というのは冗談で、スタジオで歌録りしているフィルとゲイリーの姿に惚れました。この二人の組み合わせは最高です。「Only the good die young」というフレーズが自然と思い浮かんできます。

ギターソロにおけるマシンガン・ピッキングもぞくっとくるものがありますね。
