タイトルに釣られてきた人も、
ここ数日の投稿の流れからすでに先が読めている人も、ようこそいらっしゃいました。

今日の名曲１選です。



３つ前の投稿で書いた「Still in Love with You」とタイトルが似ていますが、こちらは「Falliing」。

歌詞を読んでみると、どちらも片想いの曲みたいですが、
「Still ～」の方は終わってしまった恋に「それでも、、、」と切なく歌っているのに対し、
「Falling ～」は夢のある明るい感じになっています。

フィル・ライノット、ゲイリー・ムーア、ジョン・サイクスの書く、この手の LOVE 系バラードって、どれも通じ合うものがあると思います。

日本語に訳すと恥ずかしくて歌えませんね。
投稿のタイトルで訳しましたが(^_^;

ゲイリー・ムーアの訃報を聞いて、THIN LIZZY の『Night Life』を聴こうと思ったら、あるはずのＣＤが見つからず、仕方なしに YouTube を見ていたら、この映像に行き着きました。



フィル・ライノットのトリビュートコンサートでのゲイリー・ムーア。失恋の歌ですが「I’m still in love with you」と歌う彼の気持ちはフィルに向かっていたのでしょうか。

それからわずか５年後、まさかゲイリーまでもこの世を去ってしまうとは、、、。
